Jessie J
Jessica Ellen Cornish is an English performer and song writer who goes by the stage name Jessie J. Her unique style of music which blends soul electronic pop, pop, and hip-hop has brought her notoriety from a young age. The awards she has won include the 2011 Critics' Choice Brit Award and the BBC's Sound of 2011 as well numerous nominations. Her career began at the young age of 11, when she was selected for the show 'Whistle Down the Wind' by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. As of 2002, she appeared as a part of"The Late Sleepers," a "National Youth Music Theatre" production of "The The Late Sleepers." In 2011, she became famous by releasing her debut album "Who You Are'. It was an enormous achievement, selling ten thousand copies in the UK and 3,4000 copies within the US within the first week of launch. It was ranked no. 2 among the UK Albums Chart and number 11 on the US Billboard 200. Jessie is also known for her charity work. She participates in charitable organizations including 'Children in Need,' and "Comic Relief."
